Building/structure dates: 1908 initial construction
Significance: Designed to house 18 civilian employees. One of the first two buildings on the post to be lit electrically at its construction. Completed February 16, 1908, from QMGO Plan No. 183-A. Original cost: $11,645. Two and one-half story and basement frame structure on a brick foundation. Dimensions 46'6" x 32'. Hipped roof and hipped dormers have slate shingles. Lapped cedar siding. Two-over-two light, double-hung sash. Panelled and glazed door with sidelights and transom. Columned front porch with pipe railings (replacing original balustrade). Interior has central hall plan, most original spaces intact. First floor has exposed embossed metal ceiling. Second floor bath has ceramic tile flooring and early fixtures. Electricity installed at time of construction. Deck with balustrade on porch roof and louvered shutters at all windows removed (date uncertain). Asphalt tile flooring.
