Building/structure dates:
1913 initial construction
Significance: Although architecturally undistinguished from hundreds of log structures in Jackson Hole, Wyoming at the turn-of-the-century, the Geraldine Lucas Homestead is unusual as the home of a pioneering single woman. In subsequent years, the cabin served as the summer home of Harold Fabian, who spearheaded John D. Rockefeller's successful effort to expand the boundaries of Grand Teton National Park to include the valley floor.
