Significance: This structure was one of the finest in the whole Embado Watershed. It was built by Senor Policarpio Romero about 1868. The house was probably built over a number of years, and it was demolished largely in 1937 to make way for a highway. The reconstruction of the plan was made possible by the very accurate and detailed description of the old mansion by Senora Amelia Chacon, foster daughter of Senor Romero...
