Significance: The site is locally significant for its architectural importance as a representative example of Craftsman style house and barn combination construction, popularized by building guides and farm journals in Montana during the homesteading period, 1890-1930. It was determined eligible for listing on the National Register of Historic Places on January 2, 1986.
