Significance: Building 121 is a contributing element of the Mare Island Historic District. Building 121, the 1918 central power plant for Mare Island, is highly significant both for its function within the shipyard and as an example of the blending of modern building methods and historical building styles in the design of buildings at Mare Island in the early years of the 20th century.
