Significance: Building 24 is a contributing element of the Naval Supply Annex Stockton Historic District. The historic district was determined eligible for listing in the National Register of Historic Places under criteria A and C, for its role in supplying the fleet during World War II and as an important example of new warehouse design developed during World War II. Specifically, the Naval Supply Annex Stockton was the first Navy supply depot to be built entirely t o accommodate palletized cargo. Building 24 is not directly related to the palletized cargo handling operation or other supply functions. It was, however, an important support building for the depot, serving as a Bachelor Officers' Quarters (BOQ). It is the only World War II-era residential building remaining at the station.
