Building/structure dates: 1849 initial construction
Significance: The T.J. Young Cottage represents a small worker's cottage, a type which was built in Santa Barbara in the late 19th century. It is regarded as a well-preserved example, and was determined eligible for the National Register of Historic Places on May 9, 1978. T.J. Young, a carpenter occupied the house in 1895.
