Significance: Building 201, the Laundry, is significant for the period from 1916 to 1941 as a component of the reconstruction of Agnews State Hospital in a pavilion plan. Building such as the Laundry, Mattress and Upholstery Shop, and Cannery allowed the patients and employees to meet many of their needs on site. Building 201 was an addition to Building 202, the Old Laundry Building. The new Laundry was later used as a utility building and then as a clothing center.
