Building/structure dates:
1938 initial construction
Significance: The maintenance shop originally housed vehicles for repair, and the motor pool originally housed vehicles for road maintenance. Both of these Spanish Colonial Revival style buildings are characteristic of Caltrans maintenance station design. In response to local climate and architectural styles, four other maintenance stations in the state were built in the Spanish Colonial Revival style.
