Significance: Type A double Non-Commissioned Officers' (NCO) Quarters are among the original residential units designed at Hamilton Field. The homes were equipped with all modern amenities available at the time they were built and were architecturally unique in the military system. The buildings are significant as an example of the application of an important architectural trend (Spanish Colonial Revival) adapted to reflect California's mission heritage in a dramatic departure from traditional military architecture.
