Significance: The base exterior lighting is considered significant for its association with Air Force history in northern California, and with World War II actions in the Pacific Theater. The exterior lighting fixtures installed at Hamilton between 1931 and 1946 are important features of the historic landscaping as well as contributing structures to the historic district.
