Survey number HABS CA-1646
Significance: A high wall built to enclose rear of property (owned 1855 by Governor J.B. Alvarado) where Mauricio Gonzales who had a saloon and a gambling business, could stage Mexican acrobatics and gymnastics for audiences seated on tiers of seats. Purchased by the La Porte brothers in 1874.
