Building/structure dates: 1942 initial construction
Significance: The Operations Building served as the housing for the station's radar equipment. The building's true purpose was effectively disguised from casual passersby and enemies by its location on a terrace about 100' below the Coastal Drive and by board and batten siding and architectural details that made it look like other local farm buildings. Despite being abandoned since the end of World War II and suffering from poor environmental conditions (namely dampness), the Operations Building retains a relatively high degree of integrity and remains part of one of the few remaining radar stations in the United States.
