Significance: Building 11 consists of 7 different buildings that were constructed throughout 1929 - 1942 all brought together to form one building by 1942. All of the various buildings making up Building 11 had its own function and use; however, generally, Building 11 has been used for heavy manufacturing, prototype development, chemical processing, logistics, office, and data storage. Building 11 was continued to be used for many different reasons throughout the entirety of the plants aircraft age, during the missile research and development age, during the Apollo and Space Shuttle program, and until the plant was closed in 1999.
