Fordland is a city in Webster County, MO.
Unfortunately at this time we do not have a Webster County atlas.
Checking the MO state atlas might yield some results. Our collection grows continually, so please check back. - HMWadmin

Plate 014, Bronx Lower Vol 1 1942, New York
| | | |
| |
Greetings - one plate - #10 - which shows the location of Yankee Stadium - does not appear to be available on the website. Was it intentionally left out? If so, is it still possible to view or to purchase?
Thanks,

Plate 10 is missing from original atlas - IT Admin

Unfortunately, as IT Admin pointed out, that plate is missing from the original 1942 atlas - most likely it is hanging on someones wall.
However, we do have other property owner maps which show that area. You can see a list of these by doing an address search for the following modern address:
E 161st St & River Ave
Bronx, NY
My favorite is one from 1928 which can be found here:
http://www.historicmapworks.com/Map/US/69582/Address/Plate+020+-+Section+9%2C+Yankee+Stadium/40.827970/-73.925829/E+161st+St+%26+River+Ave/Bronx/NY/
or by searching by the map item number: US69582
I like that map because it is from the same year that the iconic picture of Babe Ruth at bat was snapped... (do a websearch for "Babe Ruth at Bat 1928" for the image)
Good luck with the research, - Jason @ HMW

Beautiful map, but it would be more helpful from an academic perspective if one could actually read the text without such substantial strain. - joy_zornes15

Bone Lake Township, Polk County 1914, Wisconsin

I am interested in learning about a lodge that existed on long lake in the early 1900s. The property was owned on this map by O. Gudvangen (sp). From what I was told by the current landowners (Dean and Cora Dversdal) there was a lodge and a tunnel that went out to the lake with a pier and a dance hall. Some of the cabins still exist on the property on the straight river. Any information, or if you can point me in the right direction I would surely appreciate it. Thank you very much.
