Wonderful map protrayal of layout of RC Church school, convent and rectory in plate 180: Our Lady of Good Council. Address can best be desribed as located on a plot of land between Putnam and Ralph Avenues, near the corners of Ralph Ave and Patchen Ave.

This is a very useful map for identifying the boundaries of election districts or wards in 1890.

Very useful map. I have been able to find the exact corner to which my German immigrant Rupp ancestors had been directed when they landed in USA in 1859: the Corner of Lorimer and Staag Streets, Brooklyn

I would like to know about the alley ways in Galatia IL. Who owns them? Are they the responcibility of the adjoining propery owners? We have 2 lots with 2 alleys and the propery is for sale.

Can anyone please help me? I am seeking information about my grandfather, Edwin Morris Bruce,born in Thorntown, Ind. and also lived in Ladoga, IN. There is a street named Bruce in Ladoga, IN. Can anyone tell me whom it was named after or anything about it? Do you have any information at all on the Bruces who lived there? Thank you so much for your time and in responding so quickly. this is a civil war map from 1862 or so, by Campbell. it shows a church that wasn built until 1841.

I grew up in Essex Fells. My dad had a map like this one and now it is framed--my brother has had it for years and has recently given it to me. I am curious of its value. Jean
