Their long side has been scaled up or down to fit a 16" wide paper with the short side resized to maintain the proportion of the original image. More... To aid those who wish to use Basic Prints as a larger, unwatermarked version of our Research Prints, the map name and item number will appear printed below the long side of the image. This text can easily be trimmed off if you wish to frame the image. Unlike Fine-Art reproductions, Basic Prints are printed without any additional retouching. In most cases, center seams, waterstains, and other imperfections will not be removed, however these attributes yield a product that is remarkably similar to the original antique print.
