Significance: Structure X is a concrete foundation. The foundation is located along the south slope of Horse Thief Draw approximately 1/3 mile northwest of Superior. The foundation is rectangular in shape with the long axis oriented from eat to west. The overall dimensions are 42 feet 4 inches eat to west by 23 feet 11 inches north to south. The foundation is divided into two rooms, a west room which is 23 feet 11 inches north to south by 9 feet 10 inches east to west. This room is 5 feet 8 inches deep to fill. The east room is larger being 32 feet 6 inches east to west by 23 feet 11 inches north to south. This room is filled nearly to grade with earth. The east room has a short wing extending eastward from the east wall. This wing is 6 feet 10 inches east to west by 15 feet 1 inch north to south. Along the west end of the foundation is a concrete pad 9 feet 10 inches long north to south by 3 feet 3 inches wide. To the east of the foundation is a feature consisting of a row of cinder blocks 22 feet 3 inches long from west to east. The cinder blocks extend eastward from the northeast corner of the foundation. Paralleling the cinder blocks 6 feet 3 inches to the north is a line of uncut dry laid sandstone blocks also 22 feet 3 inches long. At the east end of these rows of cinder blocks and slabs is a wood platform and partially collapsed wooden steps. This wooden platform and steps are 11 feet 8 inches long north to south by 3 feet 11 inches wide. The cement foundation is in poor condition due to damage suffered when the structure was removed. Cement blocks have been pushed into the center of the foundation.
