Significance: Structure U is a collapse concrete foundation. The foundation is located along the side of the ridge slope south of Horse Thief Draw. The foundation is located approximately 1/3 mile northwest of Superior. The foundation is rectangular in shape with the long axis running east to west. The overall length is 38 feet 9 inches east to west by 23 feet 3 inches north to south. The foundation consists of two rooms, a smaller east room which measures 12 feet 4 inches north to south by 16 feet 8 inches east to west. The depth of the foundation to fill in this room is 6 feet 11 inches. The west room is somewhat larger than the east room being 28 feet 3 inches long east to west by 23 feet 3 inches north to south. This room is filled nearly to grade with earth. An opening connecting the two rooms is present in the west wall of the east room. This opening is 5 feet 10 inches south of the northwest corner of the east room. The opening is 2 feet 11 inches wide by 6 feet 11 inches tall. No door remains. A wall of dry laid uncut sandstone slabs appears along the east wall of the west room.
