Significance: The Box Elder Creek Arch Bridge represents a very early example of reinforced concrete bridge construction and, perhaps, the only remaining example of a closed spandrel deck arch bridge in Utah. The bridge was built by local labor under the supervision of Peter N. Pierce, Box Elder County Road Commissioner. Pierce also supervised the construction of the first concrete road in Utah between Tremonton and Garland in 1912.
