Significance: This is among the finest nineteenth century houses in Jefferson. It is characterized, on the exterior, by an elegant second-story, tetrastyle portico, curved cast-iron stairways and a bracketed cornice. A fine example of a "Raised Cottage." The architectural details suggest French influences, probably from New Orleans.
