Building/structure dates: 1918 initial construction
Significance: The structure is an example of lodge-type architecture of the first quarter of the twentieth century. Both the Chief Historian and Chief Historic Architect for the National Park Service believe this may be the only "rustic architecture" building constructed by the Army in a battlefield park.
