Building/structure dates: 1908 initial construction
Significance: Part of medical center developed and constructed as a complete, architecturally consistent complex. Home branches of the Veterans Administration were perhaps the first non-religious planned communities in the nation; they were also the earliest integrated federal facilities in the history of the country.
