Significance: Of the approximately 137 metal truss bridges known to exist in South Carolina, this structure is one of the 66 Pratt through truss bridges listed in the South Carolina Metal Truss Highway Bridge Inventory. Identified as Edgefield 3 in the inventory, it is one of only 15 such structures that are pin-connected. The bridge fabricator/erector is unknown although the bridge plat shows it to have been constructed in 1912.
