Survey number HABS NY-6012-C
Significance: Four dormitories, two for girls and two for boys, were built from the same plans to house students at the Thomas Indian School during the ca. 1900 building expansion which occurred after the school cam under the jurisdiction of the New York State Department of Welfare in 1898. The school was the social and educational center of the Cattaraugas Reservation from the end of the 19th century through the first half of the 20th century.
