Significance: The Administration Building for the Rogers Locomotive and Machine Works was built in 1881, during the period of the company's greatest prosperity, on a long, narrow site. The three story structure has a steeply pitched roof and a slanting cornice of ornamental brickwork. There are dormer windows on the east side of the building (facing Spruce Street), but the windows on the opposite side have been filled in with concrete blocks. The interior featured decorative iron columns and an arched concrete ceiling on the second floor.
