Significance: 22 Grant Street is a contributing component of the Pine Street Historic District. The Pine Street District is significant as an intact working class neighborhood developed primarily by Italian-American families between 1890 and the 1920s. The Pine Street Historic District is largely composed of single-family dwellings, three- and four- story brick rowhouses, small commercial buildings, and mutli-unit mixed use commercial/residential structures, many embellished with Classical and Italianate elements.
