Building/structure dates: 1780
Significance: Long Branch was one of earliest New Jersey shore resorts. Summer visits by several presidents, including Ulysses S. Grant, Rutherford B. Hayes, Benjamin Harrison, James Garfield, and Chester A. Arthur contributed to Long Branch's status as the premiere American resort of its time.
