1832 initial construction
Significance: Part of the historic colonial government complex of Halifax. Built approximately 1758, the original structure was destroyed by fire and replaced, in 1832, by the present fireproof building. The County Clerk's Office and the Old Jail are the only remaining structures on the original site...
