Unprocessed field note material exists for this structure (FN-30; N937).
Significance: The Trimm Barn, built about 1940, is an example of a transverse crib barn, the most common barn type in the Upland South. Originally built to house registered cattle, the gambrel roof barn was modified several years later to serve a more generalized agricultural operation.
