Significance: The Kingsway Center Area is locally significant for its architectural significance as an important representative illustration of neighborhood development and urban vernacular building traditions in late nineteenth-century St. Louis. The J. P. Smith House is one of the buildings in the area that contributes to a potential historic district. Original Use: single-family residence.
