Survey number HAER MN-33
Building/structure dates: 1909 initial construction
Significance: First steel ore dock built on the Great Lakes. Located at terminus of D & I.R. R.R. which linked the rich iron mines with shipping facilities. The presence of the steel dock here is reflective of the important role played by this area in iron mining.
