Notes
Survey number HABS MN-146-Y
Significance: ... this building was constructed "in the early 1920." It apparently was on site by 1924, when Waleski's father, Joseph, Sr., was hired as a bodyguard by the estate's founder David Gage Joyce and assigned this cabin. Waleski occasionally shared the quarters with other male workmen. In Joyce's probate inventory, compiled in 1938, this building is listed as "Men's Cabin (Joe's)." ... This is a one-story, rectangular-plan, wood-frame, gable-front cottage with a hip-roofed, screened front (east) porch.
