Significance: This building is a brick commercial type which reflects turn of the century construction in a commercial district. / Built approximately 1890, this brick commercial building disguised its industrial function with a three story conventional storefront design that concealed a large interior space that was used for a variety of purposes, mostly industrial. The original function was a "junk" shop, or second hand store operated by People's Outfitting. Subsequent businesses included primarily sheet metal, tool-and-die operations, and small manufacturing. It has been the site of Waber Tool since 1955.
