Building/structure dates: 1893 initial construction
Significance: With operations expanding and profiting, the Calumet and Hecla Mining Company built Warehouse No. 1 in order to consolidate its scattered supplies and to centralize ordering and distribution. The warehouse is a handsome and solidly constructed building typical of Calumet and Hecla structures.
