Unprocessed field note material exists for this structure (N1063).
Significance: A finishing school for young ladies, designed by Baltimore architect Robert Cary Long, Jr. and built by Charles Timanus, was officially opened on the 1st day of January, 1837. The structure exists today as a ruin.
