Survey number HABS MA-179
Significance: Mill occupies site bought from Indians in 1663. 1st mill built 1664, fulling mill deeded to Kenelm Winslow 1696, fulling mill burned 1760 & woolen mill built on site. Woolen mill burned 1870 & present mill built 1872. Area is one of first factory villages in U.S.A.
