Created/Published
Documentation compiled after 1933.

Notes
Survey number HABS LA-1166
Significance: The origins of this house are not known. The land was not claimed in 1803 but other records indicate ownership by Francois Corso in the 1820's. The house, because of materials, scale, details, and style appears to predate first mention in 1839. It is constructed of cypress and bousillage (moss, hair, and mud wound on stick) with simple but good craftsmanship.
