It was used for storing grains and materials related to livestock functions. The roof was originally covered with cypress shingles; now replaced with sheet metal. Floors are of packed earth except in corn cribs which is wood planking. Adjacent underground cistern is of brick construction typical of the many cisterns found throughout the plantation site.
