Building/structure dates: 1940 initial construction
Significance: Used as an administrative structure in support of early Forest Service activities on the Red River Ranger district. Two story log building with full basement followed C-19 Forest Service construction plan with some variation by builder. / Log on cement footing, original wood shingles roof replaced by metal roof, wood joists and floors except for cement basement floor. Corners of building are saddle notched of unusual alternating horizontal and vertical format. Interior consists of a reception area, a number of small offices, a restroom and the basement.
