Building/structure dates: 1935 initial construction
Significance: Minnie L. Smith Subdivision was a failed black-owned undertaking to provide local housing. Subdivision bought by Ralph Freeman in 1931 to build Depression-era (cheap) housing for LaGrange blacks. Freeman was white.
