Building/structure dates: 1943 initial construction
Significance: The Mess Hall was built in 1943 for the patients and medical detachment of the Station Hospital addition. It signifies the expansion of the Fort McPherson Station Hospital during World War II and the role of the 800-series hospital in mobilization construction. It connects with the other buildings in the hospital at an angle to the west-most ward, Building 131.
