Significance: The proposed Ridgedale Park Lakeside/Kingsboro Historic District is significant as an example of a 1920s to 1940s American suburban development. This area was originally considered to be in the country and was developed with the automobile in mind. The proposed district is located just off Peachtree Street, Atlanta's major north-south corridor, and is in close proximity to Interstate 85 and Georgia 400.
