Building/structure dates: 1877 initial construction
Significance: So extensively altered (removal in 1961 of the upper two floors of Crandall's Theater, opening up of interior to create retail space, and blocking of windows) that any possible significance has been destroyed.

1. Entrance at corner of E Street (north) and 8th Street (west). To the east along E Street is a small parking lot and then 800 E St. (Simon Oppenheimer & Brother). Adjacent to 8th Street facade of the 816 E Street is 437 9th Street. Both buildings were originally one property.
2. E Street facade and rear (east) wall. Adjacent to it is the rear wall of 437 9th Street.
