Significance: The Old Saybrook Station Depot (about 1900, 1936) is significant as it is a major component of a surviving, intact example of turn-of-the-century, small-town railroad junction architecture and design. The Depot is also historically significant as evidence of Old Saybrook's importance as a railroad junction, and the development of regional transportation and recreation. The Depot is also significant for its retention of its exterior and interior historic fabric.
