Survey number HABS CT-288
Building/structure dates: 1852 initial construction
Significance: One of the few remaining examples of a mid-19th century banking building. Second floor banking room of monumental scale has rich interior trim. Building contained the office of the Tradesman's Bank in 1853 and the Townsend City Savings Bank c. 1859.
