Notes
Survey number HABS CO-136
Building/structure dates: 1881 initial construction
Building/structure dates: 1890 subsequent work
Significance: Another log cabin of the early 1880's surviving in well-preserved condition. A.C. Merrill may have erected this house as a duplex for rental purposes, as suggested by the two entry doors. At least from the time of Thorndale and Vickerson's ownership, it functioned as a single family residence. The porch with chamfered posts is the only surviving one of its kind in St. Elmo and dates before 1910.
