Significance: Possibly built by the Lowe clan, owners of much St. Elmo real estate, operators of a saw mill, and officers in the St. Elmo Land and Improvement Co., the townsite company. This house is part of an outlying neighborhood of St. Elmo located near several mining claims and mill, across the North Fork of Chalk Creek.
