Building/structure dates: 1889 initial construction
Significance: This structure is the first reinforced concrete bridge in America. Though only 20 feet in span, the bridge utilized Ransome twisted steel bars and served as predecessor for thousands of reinforced concrete bridges built in the 20th century.
