Significance: The Spanish Colonial Revival style motor pool originally housed vehicles for road maintenance and surveying, and is characteristic of Caltrans maintenance station design. The motor pool is one of three buildings at the District 11 maintenance station in Old Town San Diego. There are four other maintenance stations in the state that were built in the Spanish Colonial Revival style in response to local climate and architectural styles.
